There
is real melody in the mezzo-soprano voice of Evelyn J. Baker, who gave a
delightful recital at WJZ’s studio. She sang, “O, Dry Those Tears,”
magnificently and fol- (sic – sentence is not finished) among which we liked “My Lover is a
Fisherman.” She was brilliantly
accompanied on the piano by Wyonette Cleveland and on the violin by Edward
Bandel.
