Wright - Jack - horse stealing

Source: Logansport Reporter Fri  1 March 1895 p 8

Jack Wright is at his old trick again.  He is wanted at Crawfordsville on a charge of horse stealing.  James P. Grimes, marshal of that city holds a warrant for his arrest and is making strenuous efforts to locate him.  Wright in some way learned that the affidavit had been issued and skipped out, coming to Logansport where he former lived and is well know.  He was seen here one day this week but the local police have not been able to find him since they received notification of his alleged crime and the fact that he was wanted at Crawfordsville.  He knows that the authorities are after him and will likely lie low for  awhile.  Wright was for a long time connected with various livery stables of this city and was sent up for a year some time ago for stealing a watch.
