George Simpson, local machinest and garage man is in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, suffering from a serious injury to his left arm as the result of an automobile accident east of Waynetown Tuesday night at about 11 o’clock.  Mr. Simpson, accompanied by his wife and Miss Mellie Holmes and Clyde Holmes, father of Mrs. Simpson and Miss Holes was returning home from Crawfordsville where they had attended the Robinson Circus when his Chrysler Sedan sideswiped a stock truck driven by Granville Reese of Sidney, Ill.  It is thought that Simpson was driving with his elbow protruding out the window of his car and the point of his elbow struck the wooden rack of the stock truck. The bones of the arm were shattered and pieces of bones were drive into the stock rack.  Mr. Holmes and his daughter and Mrs. Simpson also received minor bruises and suffered from shock. The impact almost completely demolished the Simpson car while the stock truck which was loaded with livestock for the Indianapolis market was not seriously damaged. The driver escaped uninjured. The injured people were rushed to the office of Dr. AS Faulkner where first aid was rendered and where Mr. Simpson’s injuries were of such a nature as to necessitate his removal to the hospital. At this time his condition is reported fair and George’s many friends hope his injury will mend in a satisfactory manner.
