Sunday, June 6, at her beautiful country home, four miles southeast of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Catharine Hutchinson celebrated her 70th birthday. She was born Jun 7, 1827 in Montgomery County, within two miles of her present home. She is the mother of six children, of whom all were present except her youngest son, Harvey A. Wilkinson, who is a resident of Glasgow, Montana. These pleasant gatherings have been an annual occasion for the past six years. Her eldest son, Aaron Wilkinson, wife and two children; second son, Milton, wife and eight children; third son, John, wife and two children; daughter, Sarah Swearingen, husband and son; fourth son, William and wife; these children and grandchildren meet and mingle once more around “mother’s table” with no assurance that another year may not find them motherless, or the mother childless. May the heavenly father see fit to spare this supporting pillar of this homestead for many years to come. -s
