Hugh Miller runs over Officer Waldrup - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Crawfordsville – Officer Isaac Waldrup while looking after a street crossing was run down by an automobile driven by Hugh Miller of this city. The policemen was standing at the corner when the machine came from the rear and ran over him before he could get out of the way Miller was arrested at once and given a fine for assault.  A counter charge was preferred by Miller asserting the officer provoked him.  It is said that the case will be taken to the upper courts.
