Hiatt - John - coat caught
Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal 28 Jan 1869 p 5
“Darlington News” – John Hiatt of this village almost miraculously escaped a horrid and premature death a few days since. He went to adjust some belting about his mill when his long coat-tail was caught and in an instant he was whirled and hurled with great violence several feet against some timbers, his coat tearing. He is saved “to meet with mortals here below!”
