Covey - Franklin - escapes

Crawfordville, March 26 – Franklin Covey, 27, who escaped from the Putnamville state farm Saturday and walked across country 25 miles to his former employer’s farm was returned to the state farm today. Covey appeared Tuesday night at the farm home of Martin Kaitson on Ind 234 near Shades State Park. Kaitson gave him food and then took him back to the state farm. He offered no resistance to returning. Covey was sentenced in Montgomery Circuit Court Nov 23 to one year for the theft of scrap metal at New Ross.
