Boots - Asa

Friday, May 10th, was the 81st anniversary of Asa Boots, of Sugar Creek Township. Mr. Boots was born in Green County, Ohio, May 10th, 1820. He came with his parents to this county Sept. 25, 1834, and has resided here ever since. He is the father of three living children, all of whom with their families were present. A most sumptuous dinner was served at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Nathan Turnipseed. To say that the table groaned under its sumptuous load would be putting it mildly. Mr. Boots is hale and hearty and greatly enjoyed the company of his many friends who were present, Hon. Silas Peterson, Mrs. W. H. Boots, Mrs. Wallace Buchanan, J. F. Boots and many others. Mr. Boots is one of the large land owners in this township. -s
