Harold Lester Skaggs, 56 of Rt. 4, An Army veteran of WWII and past governor of the Moose Lodge died at 2:10 p.m. Monday in Culver Hospital.  He was born Sept 8, 1909 in Jamestown to Zeb and  Minta Creeke Skaggs. He was married to Norma Fairfield Dec 24, 1958. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, East Lodge and Ben Hur “Aces” Motorcycle Club. For the past 15 years he worked for the Ready Mix Co in Crawfordsville. Previously he had worked for the McDaniel Freight Co and Crawfordsville Wire Co. Survivors include his wife; five daughters: Mrs. Dorothy Davidson of Indianapolis; Mrs. Sharon Wolfe of Crawfordsville and Mise Donna, Shelia and Beverly Skaggs all of Crawfordsville; three sons, Donald of Frankfort and Thomas and David both of Crawfordsville; three step daughters, Mrs. Delores Alle0 mbnn, Miss Carol Fairfield and Miss Debbie Fairfield, both of Crawfordsville; a step-son, Roy Kiste of Crawfordsville, and 10 grandchildren.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, Rev. Donald Sharp will officiate. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
