This morning the case of William Armstrong charged with assault and battery with intent to kill was called in the circuit court. He pleaded guilty and Judge Snyder sentenced him to the penitentiary for four years and six months and imposed a fine of one hundreds dollars. The offense for which Armstrong was sentenced was the cutting of his wife with a razor at Bowers Station a few months ago. For awhile it was thought that she would die but fortunately for William she recovered. He has been spending the time in the county jail since the cutting took place.
