Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal Friday, 24 May 1895
John Wampler has entered suit against Wm H. Durham, Sarah Durham and George T. Durham for $50,000 damages, his attorneys being Vancleave & Davis. The complaint is in several paragraphs and alleges that the defendants alienated the affections of the late wife of the plaintiff, Mrs. Lily Durham Wampler. It also alleges that she died of morphine poisoning taken with suicidal intent and that although the defendants were warned they neglected to keep close watch upon her. The plaintiff feels himself damaged by the defendants in the sum asked for.
