Key - Simon and Price's Father Evidence based on y-DNA Research |
John E Key. "Our Key ancestry had hit a “Brick Wall.” Researchers have been looking for the father of Simon Key and Price Key for a long time. A recent DNA match raises the possibility that our surname came from the John Key-Martin Key line but our Y-DNA came from the Ford line (one of the many variants of Foate)." |
Kirkpatrick, George Morgan: Experiences of a Private Soldier of the Civil War |
Geroge
Morgan Kirkpatrick was one of the sons of Samuel Kirkpatrick, Sr. (see
below.) His letters, "Part II," were written to his sister,
Martha J (Kirkpatrick) Hudelson.
"The Civil War
experiences of George M. Kirkpatrick, Private, were recorded by him in notes, letters
and miscellany, which I have compiled and edited, in honor of one of 'the
bravest of the brave,' a soldier who was never absent from his post, during his
service thru the entire war, from 1862 to 1865." ... Mrs Ethel Arbour Chase.
