Hi, my name is Georgianna (Albright) Schuttauf. My family traces back
through Gibson County, Indiana, through the Montgomery, Yeager, Marvel and Clark
families, just to name a few. The last of my family to live in Gibson
County, in Owensville, were my father, Robert Albright and his parents, Carmen
and Georgianna (Montgomery) Albright.
Anyway, the reason I'm writing is to hopefully find out about a photo that
I have from my family (attached). I know that my great-grandmother, Lulu
Yeager Montgomery and her husband, Claude Montgomery, are in the picture (in the
back, just right of center.) In the front row, sitting on the lap of the
oldest lady, is my paternal grandmother, Georgiana Montgomery, approx. 3
years old. She was born in July, 1916, so I'm guessing this photo was
taken around 1918-1920.
My mystery is that I have no idea who the other people are. I looked
at the oldest lady as a clue, but both sides, Yeager and Montgomery, had an
older matriarch alive at this time. I'm guessing that she is either
Claude's paternal grandmother, Priscilla Knowles Montgomery,
or Lulu's maternal grandmother, Louisa Clark
Montgomery. (Yes, Montgomery's on both sides.)
There are no marks on this photo, but other family photos say "O'Brian's,"
"Owensboro, Ind." or "Princeton, Ind."
Any help you could give would be much appreciated! I'm sure this is
hard to follow, so please, contact me freely with any questions you might
have.
