WATTS, John. He was born 18 Aug 1793 at Warriors Run,
Northumberland Co., PA. He served in the military in Col.
Irvine's Regiment of PA Volunteers during the War of 1812. In
1844, he moved to Elkhart City, IN. For his military service,
John Watts was issued a bounty land warrant, under the Act of 28
Sep 1850, for 40 acres at Harris Township, St. Joseph Co., IN. In
the 1850 Census, he is shown living two residences from, what I
believe, was his sister, Nancy (Watts) Savage. His wife's name
was Mariah Chestnutwood d. 22 Oct 1879, and is buried in PA. John
Watts father and grandfather both were military. James Watts,
Sr., his grandfather, was killed by Indians in an attack at Fort
Freeland, PA in 1779. He had served in the Revolutionary War.
John's father, James Jr., died 19 Jul 1808 at Warriors Run, PA
and was in the military a
that time. It is believed that this is the
same Watts family that is described in the Higgins St. Joseph Co.
Atlas Biographical Sketches, written in 1875 and listed on page
30.
Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.

Reverend Adam Kedzie and his wife. Anna was born in Elkhart,
Indianna on November 26, 1843 to Mr and Mrs (Anna) Woodard. She
was adopted and her name " . . . changed to Kedzie by
Legislature of Indianna, January 26, 1847 . . ." I am
looking for any information on the Woodard family name of
Elkhart. The Reverend A.S. Kedzie was a minister in the
Congregational Church for over a decade. He then was the
Financial Secretary of Chicago Theological Seminary and retired
as the Editor of the Grand Haven (Mich) Herold - now know as the
Grand Haven Tribune. Anna married John Hogeboom of Tampico, IL.
Anna and John were both laid to rest in Tampico.

Mifflin Co., Pennsylvania. Menno died in Omaha, Nebraska
4-9-1902, and Barbara in 5-2-1913 in Weld Co, Colorado. Very
sparse records show that Ulysses G. Zook married Susie Gallatin
who was from Martinsville, Illinois any other dates on birth,
death, marriage and issue are not available. Would appreciate any
help as my husbands family has been traced back to 1715 with the
