Image Editors There are many programs available for editing images. Some programs will allow you to modify, resize or recolor images. There are also programs that will allow you to edit images in groups, renaming, resizing or watermarking multiple photos at one time. There are also programs that will allow you to capture images from your computer screen. Below is a list of programs, separated by their functions.
Image Editing
XnView - XnView allows for resizing, rotating or cropping photos; applying filters
PC Image Editor - PC Image Editor is a free image editing software that allows for
basic image editing
Gimp - Gimp is a free image editing software with similar capabilities to PhotoShop,
edit, resize, and apply filters; Gimp is a more advanced program and can be difficult
for beginners
Advanced JPEG Compressor - This program allows you to edit, resize and compress images,
can also batch resize and rename. Trial version is free, $35 to purchase
IfanView - IrfanView is free for non-commercial use and allows for scanning, printing,
optimizing images; IrfanView also allows for batch processing
Image Editing in Groups (Batch Processing)
FastStone Photo Resizer - Free program allows you to edit, resize and compress images,
can also batch resize and rename
