MRS. BESSIE DAWSON

Kouts - MRS. BESSIE DAWSON, 48, Kouts, wife of Arnet Dawson, died at noon Thursday in Porter Memorial hospital after a six months illness. Born in Williamsport, Ind., March 11, 1912, she married Arnet Dawson at Covington, Ind., on March 5, 1932. She lived in Kouts for the past 16 years, coming there from Lafayette.  Mrs. Dawson was a member of the Kouts American Legion auxiliary.

Surviving are the husband; four daughters, Charlotte and Rita at home, Mrs. Leon Galbreath of Hanna, and Mrs. Ted Wells of DeMotte; four sons, Eric, Carl and Arnet at home, and Paul of Monroe, Mich.; five sisters, Mrs. Vernon Rodgers, Siloame Springs, Ark., Mrs. Levi Catterlin of Lafayette, Mrs. Glenn Osburn, Wanatah, Mrs. Basil Arseneau, Cedar Lake, and Mrs. Ralph Bryant, South Bend; four brothers, Floyd Miller, Kouts, Raymond, Tefft, Charles San Pierre and Clarence, Freetown, Ind.; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral rites will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Kosanke Funeral home in Kouts. The Rev. James R. Minear of the Morgan Township Bible church, Malden, will officiate. Burial will be held in Davis cemetery at Greenhill, Ind. Friends may call at the Kosanke Funeral home in Kouts near 1 p.m. Saturday.
