THOMAS L. CLEM


West Lebanon, Ind - Thomas L. Clem, a life resident of Warren County died at 2 p.m. Thursday Feb 29, 1968 at his home in West Lebanon.  A native of Kent Twp, Warren County, he was born March 13, 1891 the son of Cornelius V. and Martha Ruark Clem.  He was married March 1, 1903 to the former Faye Robertson.  Mr. Clem and his widow were to observe their 65h wedding anniversary today.  Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Zola) Lenning of Lafayette and Mrs. Fred (Marguerite) Carter of Hoopeston, Ill; 5 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter a granddaughter, two brothers and two sisters.  Mr. Clem had attended Central Normal College, Danville and had taught school in Warren County.  He later began farming in Warren County and continued until his retirement in 1958.  Since his retirement he and his widow had made their home in West Lebanon.  The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home Covington where visitation will be held this afternoon and evening.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Sat at the funeral home, Rev. Grover Williams will officiate with burial in West Lebanon Cemetery.
