LEONARD MALDON BUTCHER

West Lebanon--Leonard Maldon Butcher, age 51, of West Lebanon, died Sunday morning, Dec. 2, at Lakeview Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since Nov. 26. He had been ill several years. Mr. Butcher was born Sept. 7, 1911 in Warren County, the son of Phillip and Myrtle Cook Butcher. On April 10, 1930, he married Ethel Gee. He was a life resident of West Lebanon and had worked 13 years at the Alcoa Aluminum plant in Lafayette and in machine shops in and around Danville, Ill.

Surviving are: four children, Ethel Louise White of Williamsport Rt. 2, Mrs. Donna Cole of Attica, Mrs. Wilma Heath of Danville, Ill., and Russell D. of Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Delores Taylor of Attica Rt. 4; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Eugene Rapson officiated and burial was in the West Lebanon Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Lyle Cole, Ralph White, Dale White, Robert Powell, Fred Hoskins and Lowell Groff.
