ALLBRIGHT (YOUNG) CEMETERY

This cemetery was in connection with the German Evangelical Church or German Methodists commonly known as Allbrights. It is located on the Wabash-Huntington County Line at the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of Section 17, township 28, Range 8. The earliest stone found was December 2, 1854 and the latest dated 1943.

The Allbright cemetery is located on the Wabash-Huntington County line road at the intersection with county road 350N. It was recorded in May of 1975 by Ron Woodward and members of the Wabash Middle School History Club. It was revisited and updated in 1991 and in 2000. The latest update incorporated data found in Health Department records recently made available.

A marker has been erected by the Board of Christian Education (Aug. 3, 1940) to commemorate the first Sunday School in the area known as Youngs Sunday School.
