Judge John S. Sheetz 
Born 1809 in Hampshire Co., VA, he came to Indiana in the mid-1830's living for several years in Benton County. Later in life he moved to West Lafayette in Tippecanoe County. He was married ca.1825 to Isabella Adams Parker. John S. Sheetz died in Tippecanoe County, December 5, 1877. A street in West Lafayette is named for him.
