A note regarding Mary Andrews from the GedCom file submitted to Rootsweb by (name is listed as unknown name) email address: leeds@athenet.net
"Polly Andrews, daughter of Isaac S. Haroot Cahoon Andrews, married Comfort Fisher in Connecticut about 1800. To them were born five children: one daughter who married George W. Miller, one married Frank Lynch, and one married a Messinger. A few months before the birth of the youngest child, Comfort Fisher left his family and went to Illinois where he served in the Civil War.
The youngest daughter married G. W. Miller in 1828 in New York State. They emigrated to Indiana and in 1852 came to Bond County with nine children, five sons and four daughters. Their farm was south of Woburn and Mr Miller, one son and one daughter are buried on the hill which overlooked the house they built.
Mrs. Miller had been reared by her grandfather, Isaac Andrews, who was a surveyor, she never saw her father, Comfort Fisher, until they had settled in Bond County. Her husband, George Miller, heard he was living in Edwardsville, and he went there and brought him back with him to make his home. He died in 1853 the same month after his wife, and they are buried side by side in the Sutton Hasting graveyard."
