The Davis Family
Odell, Jackson Township

  

Lora Ann Clark, born May 3, 1844 in Lauramie Township, she was the daughter of
Edmund Clark and Margaret Campbell.  She married Edgar C. Davis (1835-1909)
April 19, 1865 in Tippecanoe County.  They lived in Lauramie Township for awhile,
where Edgar was a school teacher, but later moved to Jackson Township
where Edgar engaged in farming near Odell.  Lora Ann Clark Davis died July 11, 1923. 
Lora Ann and Edgar C. Davis are buried in Salem Cemetery, Fountain Co., Indiana.

Elvah C. Davis 
(1867-1913)
son of Edgar C. Davis and Lora Ann Clark.  Elvah was a farmer in Odell, Indiana.
Julia Knox Sayers Davis
(1868-1934) 
daughter of 
Alexander Thompson Sayers and Caroline Carter.







Elvah Carter Davis (1900-1975), son of Elvah C. Davis and
Julia K. Sayers, and Thelma Evelyn Hawkins, daughter of
Walter Charles Hawkins and Golda Ellen Gates.  They were
married in 1920 and lived in Odell their entire married lives.


Thelma Hawkins Davis with daughters Betty (my mother), June and Shirley.
