Notes for JOSEPH BYRON "JOE B" ASH?
The reason Joseph B. and family appear to be living with Caroline and the family for so long is he also had a house on the family land at Ashland (later Lamb), Indiana. I am not sure exactly what year that home was built but it is still standing. He is the son who took over running the family Ferry across the Ohio. He was a well known riverman and was also a river pilot on the Ohio.

She was a retired cashier with McIntyre Market Basket, Carrollton, and a member of Mount Herman Baptist Church in Carrollton, where she was a member of the women's mission group. Her husband, Jack Supplee Sr., died in 1992. A daughter, Helen "Junie" Grobmeier, and a son, Fred Allen Supplee, also preceded her in death. Survivors include sons, Jack Supplee of Lexington, Jimmy Supplee, Jon Supplee and Jerry Supplee, all of Carrollton; sisters, Roberta Ingram of Vernon, Ind., and Betty Stewart of North Vernon, Ind.; a brother, Bernie Breeck of Madison, Ind.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Carrollton.
