WWII - groups selected

The largest group of selectees yet to be sent from Putnam county at any one time by the Putnam County Selective Service board, left the American Legion home at eight o’clock Monday morning for Fort Benjamin Harrison for physical examination and induction into the ever expanding armed forces of the nation. This group included fifty-nine men. The largest group prior to this one was sent from the Big Four early in the year. Those going Monday were:
