THOMAS JONES

was born about 1745 and served for 3 years as a private (enlisted fall of 1775) under Capts. William Fontaine and Clough SHelton along with Col. Stevens in the VIrginia Militia. He was discharged at Norristown, PA in 1779. He was in Germantown and Brandywine battles

His last payment for pension was paid in 1837 - buried on the Burton farm in Madison Twp, in Putnam County, Indiana.
