NOTE: Not buried in Putnam - he is buried near Otter Creek in Vigo County - not sure why he would be listed for this county but here's some information just in case he briefly lived here

Although the year, 1755 is agreed upon, his grave (governmental stone) lists 9 September 1755 and born in England according to the JW & Rose Smith Family Tree. However, the DAR lists him as being born in 1755 (no date) in Peekskill, New York. He died 9 September 1842. He married #1 a Mary ? and had Abel; Rebekah; Lucy; and ALlen. He married #2 the widow of Joseph Daggett a minister. He and Mercy had no known children.
