Mr. and Mrs. Emmett C. Keyt of Greencastle R 1 have received word from their son, William E. Keyt who is stationed at Camp Breckinridge, Ky. He would like to hear from all his friends. Pvt. William E. Keyt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emmett C. Keyt, Rt 1, Greencastle, Ind recently was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge for excellent performance of duty in combat with the 7th Infantry Division. This badge, a symbol of the front line fight man, distinguishes the combat soldier from rear area and service troops.  It consists of a miniature replica of a Revolutionary War flintlock rifle mounted on a blue background and superimposed on a wreath.  Pvt. Keyt is serving as a rifleman in Co E 17th Infantry Regiment, 7th Division. He has also been awarded with one campaign star. He entered the Army in October 1951.
