JULIUS (Caesar) GLAZEBROOK

Julius Glazebrook was born April 15, 1752 and passed away Sept 14, 1847. He is buried in Carmel Cemetery southwest of Filmore, Indiana.

His Pension Clas (SF L6831) lists his service as June 10, 1780 to July 1781 - Charlotte Co Virginia under Capt. Thomas WIlliams and part of the time under Capt. Andrew Wallace and Cols Tucker and Holt Richardson - Virginia Militia.

His wife was Mary Garten (DAR Lineage Book Vol. 164 : 1921) his son Clifton (1786-1846) married Nancy Brinton (1787-1873). According to the Indiana DAR burial book, listed below there was another son, Richard (1787-1847) married Catherine Snead. He may have also married a Mary Kevil 23 Dec 1790 in Campbell, Virginia. Add William below and Nancy Ann Glazebrook (1776-1865) Harbison according to findagrave.

The Washburn Chapter (Greencastle) NSDAR applied Nov 25, 1929 for a headstone for Julius. Application #48572 - Rank: Private. Company: Capt. Thomas WIlliams; Col. Holt Richeson's Va Regt and Tucker's Va Regt Rev. War. - Verified 4-17-1930


Donn Verner Smythe, Jr. applied for application to the Sons of the American Revolution through Julius' son, William Glazebrook (no dates at all) and his wife Rhoda (no last name or dates or place). Then Elizabeth Glazebrook, wife of Edward Smythe next Wm. Smythe July 2, 1845 married Eliz. William and died in Indianapolis Dec 27, 1925. This was in March 1927
