There is a Family listing on ancestry that says this is incorrect as per the fifer. The Jacob who did that according to this family tree. The fifer Jacob was placed on the pension rolls in 1817 in Albany NY - listed as a potter. He was of the 5th Regt and died in Albany July 25, 1825.

Whether this is correct or the one in Putnam County is the correct one who is the fifer, will need to be researched father.   --- kbz.
