GEORGE HAMMER

Born May 4, 1763 near Philadelphia, PA.

Volunteered April 1781 for the Frederick County Maryland (Col. Gregor's Regt) - engaged in watching Tories and in securing provision for the army. Served until Feb 1782.

Pension: 32291 Claim

Died July July 21, 1834 Putnam County, Indiana

There is much proof as to his Revolutionary claims.

On the 4th of March in 1831, he is listed on the pension rolls of Putnam County, Indiana. One source mentions him as George Isaac Hammer.

Many Revolutionary War soldiers went to Kentucky in order to get government land. Do not know if this is THIS George Hammer but likely. Name: George Hammer Home in 1810 (City, County, State): Knox, Kentucky Free White Persons - Males - 10 thru 15: 2
