FORD, William

Source: 1895 Daily Banner 6 March – notes from an Historical Society Meeting that was held specifically to identify the Revolutionary War Soldiers for the County. William resided near Bainbridge in Monroe Township and was born in 1765 in Virginia, died December 1834 in Putnam County.  Buried at the small Randel Cemetery near Bainbridge. This is interesting – either someone doesn’t know that we fought against the English or well, who knows what but on Findagrave, there is a note all capped, He joined the English Army at age 18 and served through the Revolutionary War,” but since the Historical group listed him as one of ours, guess we’ll take it 😊
