Mr. and Mrs. JM Ford, of Bainbridge, received a message on Friday evening informing them that their son, Dwight Ford, age 30, a member of the Sixth US Infantry, had been Killed In Action in France on October 14. JM Ford, who is more familiarly known as Milt Ford is in the restaurant business in Bainbridge. The son was among the first of the Putnam County boys to be taken in the draft, having left Greencastle with the first contingent of drafted men sent to Camp Taylor. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Ford. Beside his parents, he leaves one sister, who resides in the west.
