CHARLES BOWEN

Charles Bowen was born in September of 1749 in Virginia.

He served as a private for two years under Capt. Reese Bowen, his brother, Capt. John Campbell and Capt. WM. Edmonnson along with Col. Wm. Campbell in the Virginia Regiment. He fought at King's Mountain and was commissioned there July 2, 1785. Capt. of 2nd Co, 2nd Regt, Washington County VA Militia.

Proof: Pension Certificate #3146.

Died after 1834 in Putnam County.

At least two children, William and Charles.
