1800 Census Elizabeth, Lancaster Co PA 1 male 26-44; 3 fem -10; 1 fem 26-44
Although the 1800 census does not show him with a small son James Burnsides 22 April 1798- 4 May 1888 buried in same cemetery is supposed to be him – the 1800 Lancaster, Garrard County, Kentucky census does show one son under 10 so this is James.  1 male 26-44; 1 fem under 10; 1 fem 16-25 and 1 fem 26-44.  

John Burnside is believed to be the son of Robert Burnside. He married Mary Denton in Kentucky.
Service records & his stone indicate he served in the Revolutionary War.

He is thought to be the father of Rastus, Jane, Robert, John, James, Isaac, William, Thomas, Henry and Samuel Burnside.
