The divorce mill is opening up lively these days and the November circuit court docket bids fair to hold several well developed tales of woe. John E. Wise is the latest gentleman to be dissatisfied with his bonds. John will be remembered by our people as one of the most important witnesses for the state in the Ruark-Sturr trial. John is tired, lie says his wife, Cora E. Wise, has not treated him right; that she is cold and has at diverse times, too numerous to mention, made him get out of bed and get Ids own breakfast of mornings; that his wife has neglected him and is now in Nebraska, where she has been for some time; that she has taken their child (although he desires to let her keep it) and neglected her household duties; that she would pout and sulk and altogether she has not been what a wife should be. He asks a divorce on the grounds of cruel treatment. Mrs. Wise’s maiden name was Hodson and parties have been residing in Marion Township. John H. James is legal pilot for Mr. WISE.
