Smith, Addie vs Ora 1912

Addie M. Smith through her attorney, John H., James has filed suit in the Putnam Circuit Court for divorce from her husband, Ora F. Smith on grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment and failure to provide. The complaint shows that the two were married on Dec 12, 1883 and lived together until last June. It alleges Smith treated his wife cruelly and charged her with immorality at various times before the separation. The complaint asks that Mrs. Smith be given absolute divorce and custody of their two minor children. Smith formerly was a policeman in this city. - kbz
