Mary K. Jones has filed suit for divorce in the Circuit Court of Putnam County through her attorneys, Allee, James & Allee, against her husband, Henry L. Jones. The plaintiff alleges cruel and inhuman treatment. She says that the defendant has upon several occasions threatened to kill her and that she finds it impossible to live with him. She asks for a divorce and restoration of her maiden name, Mary K. Edwards. --- kbz

A divorce was granted Mary K. Jones on Saturday by Judge James P. P. Hughes from her husband, Henry L. Jones on the grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment. The plaintiff's maiden name of Mary Catherine Edwards was restored to her.
