Sarah E. Cox vs. Joshua Cox – State of Indiana Putnam Count

In the Circuit Court of Putnam County in the state of Indiana – March term AD 1863.  Be it known, that on this 2d day of January in the year 1863, the above named plaintiff by her attorneys filed in the office of the Clerk of said Court her complaint against said defendant in the above entitled cause, together with an affidavit of a competent person that said defendant is not a resident of the State of Indiana. Said defendant is therefore hereby notified of the filing and Pendency of said complaint against him and that unless he appears and answers or demur thereto at the calling of said cause on the 2nd day of the next term of said Court to be begun and help in the City of Greencastle on the last Monday in March next said complaint and the matters and things therein contained and alleged will be heard and determined in his absence.  Witness, Mel McKee, Clerk of Putnam CC per MB Rudisill, Deputy – Williamson & Daggy, Attorneys for Plaintiff - kbz
