Elias Campbell of Frankfort well known in this city has instituted proceedings in the Clinton Circuit court to obtain a divorce from his wife Minerva E. Campbell.  In his complaint the plaintiff recites that he and the defendant were married on Sept 21, 1911.  He avers that within a month after their marriage the defendant began a course of cruel and inhuman treatment towards him, which greatly annoyed him, rendered him unhappy and caused him mental distraction in his becoming ill.  By reason of the cruel treatmen, he avers he was compelled to separate from the defendant on Jan 2.  Mr. Campbell, plaintiff in the case is the well known deputy revenue collector for the 7th Indiana District.  At present he is a patient at the Palmer Hospital at Franklin, recovering from an attack of apoplexy which he suffered some time ago.  ---transcribed by kbz
