Brown - Mary vs,. Harold -1928 - Putnam

The divorce action of Mary Leon Brown against Harold D. Brown has been dismissed at the plaintiff’s cost in the Putnam Circuit court. The defendant pleaded guilty to a charge of bigamy in the local court this week and was sentenced to the Indiana State prison for a term of 2-5 years. The fact that Brown was already married when he married the plaintiff in the divorce action left the plaintiff no grounds for divorce as she was not legally married to Brown. kbz
