Brown, Ethel vs Wm. A Feb 1911 - Putnam

Ethel M. Brown has filed suit in the Putnam Circuit Court through her attorney, Jackson Boyd asking absolute divorce from Wm. A. Brown whom she alleges has deserted her and who during the time they lived together treated her in a cruel and inhuman manner. She alleges that they were married Jan 22, 1910 and that he deserted her Dec 12, 1910. She says in her petition for divorced that he had choaked and slapped her and had failed to provide for her. Besides divorce she asks the judge to restore her maiden name (not given).
