"David Peffley moved to Putnam County, Indiana in 1830 and settled in Russell Twp. , on Raccoon Creek, near Fincastle, entering a half section of land where he spent the remainder of his life. "

I have never tried to find the cemetery and have no idea if the cemetery still exists. The book says that the barn was still standing on the homestead, but the book was written in 1938. Farther down the page, it mentions that the cemetery was in back of the house. "
