WILSON & BOYD Grain Dealers - 1901 - Putnam

Just when the grain business was established here would be hard to say, probably in 1880. The present firm has been in business some 4 or 5 years; however, Mr. Wilson, the senior member was in the business several years prior to that time.  Just at present they are actively engaged in the building of an elevator, an enterprise long needed and one that will represent an investment of several thousand dollars; it is the intention to have this building completed before the winter sets in, and as this is a great grand country, the shipping of grain from this point will doubtless be greatly increased by this addition to the business interests of the town  -- kbz
