“What our merchants say” - Chicago Spot Cash Clothing Store – this is a very dull season with us; it is too late for summer goods and not late enough for fall goods.  We have bought a large stock for the fall trade and expect a rush then.  Traveling men tell us that they are selling more goods and with less difficulty than at any time within the past three years.    ~~~transcribed by kbz
