S.N. BROWN - 1901 - Putnam

Mr. Brown, one of the respected and successful business men of Russellville, came here from the vicinity of Fincastle in the fall of 90 and embarked in the bakery and butcher business in the room now occupied by Simpson & Son. After a stay of three years at that stand, removed to his present location where he has been continuously in business since.  He conducts the only meat market in the town. As no changes in the management of this store have occurred, the history of his business career in Russellville is quite brief.  -- kbz
