Putnam Co Tel & Tel Co - Putnam

The Putnam County Telephone & Telegraph company began work today for the extension of their telephone line from Mt. Meridian to Belle Union and in all probability it will be continued on to Cloverdale. The system is proving very beneficial the farmers and residents of the smaller towns.

The following is the list of new telephone subscribers: Adam’s Express Co No 24; Ashton, WJ residence, 45; Bridges, MD residence 96 Black, GM, livery, 48; Cole, JW residence, 20; Commercial Hotel 47; Dr. JPD John, residence 72; Nelson, JB residence 97; Richardson, Jessie, residence, 71; Stewart, JT, residence, 46. The company requests persons having telephones to please copy. Some of the telephone directories do not contain the news room number of the Banner Times. It is 95 !!!
