Public Service Commission - Putnam

In a bundle of orders, which did not include any action on proposed charges for telephone directory assistance, the Public Service Commission has authorized three railroads to close agency stations and another to close two public grade crossings.  

Baltimore & Ohio and Louisville & Nashville railrods were authorized to discontinue their joint station at Roachdale in Putnam County.

B&O's business at Roachdale and at nonagencies of Tilden, Maplewood, North Salem, Barnard and Raccoon will be placed under the Russellville Station.  L&N's Roachdale business will be transferred to its Crawfordsville Station.
