The subject of this sketch has been a shipper of live stock since ’82. His first shipment – a carload of hogs – was shipped from Raccoon April 5, 1882. In ’91 Mr. Darnall removed to Indianapolis and engaged in the commission business until ’97, when he returned to his present location, having shipped stock from this vicinity ever since. The volume of business averages about $40,000 per year. Indianapolis is the principal point of consignment, although Pittsburg and Buffalo come in for their share – kbz
