George W. Black (1843-1913) and Robert Miller Black (1845-1899) migrated to Greencastle from Mt. Sterling, Montgomery Co. , Kentucky between 1850 and 1851. When grown they opened a livery business which soon built up to large proportions, enjoying a very liberal patronage from the first. They always kept an excellent grade of horses and a well equipped barn in every respect. ” Along with the livery, there were also Mule and Carriage Departments.
