Source: New Richmond Record 5 Dec 1912 p 1

The annual reunion of the Swank family was held as usual on Thanksgiving Day, with Dr, W. Gr. Swank at his home in Crawfordsville. The Swank relatives consist of the LaFollette, Wilson, Utter and Blanchill families. Most of the 10 guests present at the Swank home Thursday reside in Montgomery county or adjoining counties. Every edible imaginable was served at the dinner at noon, but turkey and duck furnished the feature of the spread. The guests of honor were the six Swank brothers, five of whom reside in Crawfordsville. At the head of the table was Jacob, the oldest and near him were Asbury, Smith, David, John and Will. Asbury Swank lives in Chalmers. A six piece orchestra was organized from the musical wing of the family and it gave the others music with their meal. The reunion did not conclude with the noonday festivities for the guests stayed for supper and left for their homes later in the evening.
